Today wasn't a "perfect" day in my dieting world....I didn't get in any exercise & I had made a few poor food choices...BUT I still managed to track everything and stay within my WW points limit. I guess we'll see how these mess-ups effected my weight loss when I weigh in next Thursday. I've got to quit punishing myself for my mistakes and move on and stick with it & stay focused on the end result.
We went over to a friend's house for dinner the other night. Usually going to someone's house for dinner is a major obstacle when I'm trying to lose weight, but she was kind enough to fix something that wouldn't get me off track. She fixed Chicken Enchilada soup. The recipe can be found here. You know you've found a true friend if they fix you healthy food when you're on a diet.......or maybe it's because they're looking forward to our shopping trip in NYC once I reach my goal weight! It doesn't matter......having good friends to support you along the way makes a BIG difference. (Thanks Becca! Love ya!)
I made Crispy Southwest Chicken Wraps. I modified the recipe a bit. I used 2% Colby/jack cheese, light sour cream, and mixed a packet of taco seasoning into the rice, chicken, bean mixture instead of the spices it calls for on the recipe. This recipe is also 7 WW points, but the rice is so filling--I could only eat 1/2 of one wrap.
Attending church on a regular basis is another tool that will help me not only reach my weight loss goal, but also build a stronger relationship with Christ and also always remember.........Everything 4:13!
